  • August 7, 2008-Received call from sw about 15 month old boy. J comes to live with us!

  • August 5, 2008-diagnosed with endometriosis

  • July 29, 2008-sw called; only children available are medically fragile

  • July 15, 2008-sw called to inform us 1 year old was already matched with another family

  • July 10, 2008-sw called with medical information for 1 year old, plans to meet with his sw

  • July 7, 2008-possible match with 1 year old boy

  • June 11, 2008-newborn’s father found and took custody

  • June 10, 2008-match with newborn baby boy and 3 year-old brother

  • April 29, 2008-match with baby boy Zach fell through (grandmother interested in adopting him)

  • April 24, 2008-social workers meet to discuss match

  • April 15, 2008-received call: “We have a match!”

  • February 26, 2008-letter received: We’ve been approved to have Placement and Recruitement start looking for a match!

  • January 24, 2008-Home study is complete, and we are ready to be moved on to the next step: a match!

  • January 18, 2008-last bit of paperwork sent to agency

  • January 3, 2008-Home study

  • November 22, 2007-Home inspection by the State.

  • October 18, 2007-Six weeks of parenting classes complete! We graduated! : )

  • September, 2007-Started adoption paperwork.

  • June, 2007-attended orientation for adoption.

  • Good luck on adopting. My husband and I are currently adopting from overseas…it is so hard to trust certain things when you are not there…Good luck and I’ll pray for you and your soon to be little one.

  • I also noticed here that you were diagnosed with endometriosis. My best friend has been suffering with that her entire life. She has at minimum, two surgeries a year to relieve the pain of the adhesion’s. I send you my comfort and thoughts while dealing with this disease.
